Hotel Day 1

In order to maintain some sort of record of my eating habits and exercise I will keep keep a daily log of my time spent living in the hotel.

Since my first night in this hotel my throat has been burning, my ears hurt, my sinuses are so agitated I sound like a pug when I nose-breathe. I’ve done everything to get better – had pho a couple of times, lots of herbal and green teas, lots of water, lots of sleep, vitamins, neti and gargling with saline water. Nothing has helped.

Since it’s been so difficult to breathe I’ve not been working out.
Since I’m not working out I need to watch my diet closely. Shame on me, I haven’t been. I’ll start now though. Writing today’s log has made me realize I haven’t taken full responsibility for my health, which is what I need to do, even when extenuating circumstances make it difficult.

I’ve been stress and hormone eating, so today’s log is truly a disaster.

6:30 a.m.

  • 150 calories – 1 bowl of oatmeal
  • 110 calories – 1 Dannon Activia Peach yogurt
  • 190 calories – 1 small glazed donut
  • 51 calories – 3 hard boiled eggs (just the whites, no yolks)

11:30 a.m.

  • 90 calories – fruit
  • 245 calories – 1/2 chicken salad sandwich a la Sbux

5:00 p.m.

  • 90 calories – fruit
  • 245 calories – 1/2 chicken salad sandwich a la Sbux

7:00 p.m.

  • I’d guess around 300 calories – Panda Express leftover chicken and fried rice + spring roll
  • 165 calories – 1 Modelo cervesa

Total Caloric Intake

  • 1,636 calories. A bit too high, if I consume this many calories daily I will gain weight.

Vitamins & Supplements

  • 1 One a Day Women’s capsule
  • 1,000 MG Flaxseed Oil

Water Intake

  • 1 Liter

Exercise

  • Negligible

Maybe scribing my plan for tomorrow will help me stick to healthy choices. Let’s give it a go and find out!

Meal 1: 1 can o’ fish (tuna or pink salmon)
Meal 2: 1 fruit cup + 1 can o’ fish
Meal 3: 1 bean burrito a la Taco Hut
Meal 4:  Um… another can o’ fish? With a banana, that’ll add some variety! Yum!
Meal 5:  Another bean burrito? We’ll have to see where I’m at.

That should put me at around 1,000 calories tomorrow, which is right where I want to be! We’ll see how it goes.

Water Intake: 6 Liters
